What hotels are to be opened in Warsaw
Warsaw is still lacking hotel accommodation. Many new facilities are to be opened soon
According to Walter Herz specialists, Warsaw hotel market is still unsaturated. The experts are estimating that over 2 000 rooms will become available in Warsaw in the facilities to be completed this year. This is a quarter of the new offer, planned to be delivered in 2018 on the largest hotel markets in the country. The investments which are to be ready next year will provide Warsaw to another two thousand hotel rooms. Thus, according to Walter Herz analysts, the resources of the capital market will increase to about 18 thousand hotel rooms.
Walter Herz specialists inform that this year in Warsaw, Krakowska Residence hotel with over 350 rooms located in the district of Włochy is to be opened, as well as Four Points by Sheraton hotel in the industrial Służewiec district in Warsaw with 192 rooms, Vienna House hotel with 164 rooms, the luxurious Raffles Europejski hotel on Krakowskie Przedmieście Street with 106 rooms, Hampton by Hilton with 163 rooms on Postępu Street and Moxy hotel within Koneser complex in Warsaw's Praga district with 141 rooms.

One of the hotel openings anticipated this year in Warsaw has already taken place in mid March, when ibis Styles Warszawa City hotel with 220 rooms was opened at Grzybowska Street. This is the first facility of this brand in the capital. The leitmotif of the interior design of the hotel is the transportation theme of the old Warsaw, and above all the first horse-drawn tram line that was launched in the city in 1866.
Also, the five-star Renaissance Warsaw Airport Hotel located directly at the Chopin Airport in Warsaw has already welcomed their first guests. In addition to 225 rooms, the hotel will house a 5.5-meter high ballroom, equipped with an integrated lighting system, allowing for 16 million colors of backlight. The facility will also provide conference space with eight meeting rooms and an exclusive SPA and pool area, as well as an Executive Lounge on the top floor, with an extensive gastronomic offer and a unique view of the airport's runway.
A night in the presidential suite for over PLN 16 thousand
The final countdown to the opening of Raffles Europejski Warsaw hotel, which is housed in the historical building of the former European Hotel at Krakowskie Przedmiescie Street is on. This is the first five-star plus hotel in Poland, which apart from 106 rooms and suites will offer a SPA with a swimming pool, a fitness club, a cigar lounge, a confectioner's and a restaurant. Top class office and commercial space will also be available.
According to the representatives of the facility, the crown jewel of Raffles Europejski Warsaw hotel will be raffles and presidential suites, each measuring almost 300 sq m of space. They are equipped with custom made furniture. The presidential suite will include a Pompeian room, which was described and shown in the filming of Bolesław Prus's ‘Lalka’. Accommodation prices in the prestigious suites start from over PLN 16 thousand per night. Guests will be able to use the hotel's limousines, services of a butler and an art concierge, who will show you the collection of artworks of Hotel Europejski and will recommend exhibitions in Warsaw's museums and galleries.
Office Służewiec with hotel facilities
The construction of the first stage of P4 complex is also coming to an end in the industrial part of Służewiec in Warsaw. The complex will consist of four buildings, two of the higher, sever-storey ones are currently under construction. One of them will include a four-star business hotel - Vienna House Mokotów with 164 rooms, spacious conference rooms and a recreation area. The opening of the facility is scheduled for the end of the year.
In the largest office district in Poland, at the intersection of Cybernetyki and Postępu Streets, Hampton by Hilton Warsaw Mokotow hotel is to open at the end of the year. It will join four other Warsaw branches operating under three different brands of the Hilton chain, offering 163 rooms.
The opening of the Four Points by Sheraton Warsaw Mokotów hotel was also scheduled for the last quarter of the year in Warsaw's district of Mokotów. The hotel will include 190 rooms, conference space with a total area of approximately 400 sq m, a restaurant with a bar and a fitness center.
Hotels for business guests
The opening of the Warsaw AC Hotels by Marriott hotel will also take place shortly. The first hotel of this brand in the city will be located at 144 Aleje Jerozolimskie Street, in the vicinity of Dworzec Zachodni Railway Station and Blue City shopping center. It is to offer around 260 rooms, a conference area and a restaurant, as well as a sky bar on the top floor with panoramic views of the city. The hotels of this brand are known for their modern design and their AC Lounge, which functions as a co-working space during the day and a vibrant location in the evenings.
This autumn, in the multifunctional Centrum Praskie Koneser, Moxy hotel (Marriott International brand) is to be opened. In the commercial part of the complex, in the renovated building of the distillery of the former vodka factory, 141 rooms will be awaiting guests.
In the second half of the year, a four-star Krakowska Residence hotel will be commissioned in Warsaw by aleja Krakowska Street. The facility will include a modern restaurant with a bar and a large conference room. Nearby, at Geologiczna Street, the investor is also planning to open Hotel Geologiczna around the same time. The six-storey building in a minimalist form and industrial interiors will house 70 rooms for business guests.
In the upcoming years
According to Walter Herz specialists, at the end of next year, the first Staybridge Suites hotel belonging to the InterContinental Group, will be commissioned in Warsaw's Ursynów district. The facility will provide 190 rooms.
Focus Hotel hotel in Służewiec with 238 rooms, Holiday Inn at the West Railway Station with 217 rooms and the centrally located 149-room Puro Warszawa Centrum hotel will also appear on the Warsaw market.
Among the openings in the later years, Walter Herz's experts include a 330-room Motel One in the district of Śródmieście, Port Praski with 120 rooms, a hotel of Residence Inn and Moxy brands with 300 rooms, as well as another ibis Styles hotels.
Hotel tower
A luxurious hotel is also to be located in the modern, multi-functional building of Roma Tower, situated at the intersection of Nowogrodzka and Emilia Plater Street. The management plan for Śródmieście Południowe district, adopted after 7 years of anticipation, envisages the construction of a high 170-meter high skyscraper on the plot of the Warsaw Archdiocese. The Roma Tower project includes the construction of a multi-purpose building with a useable lease area of around 55 thousand sq m.
The second Puro hotel is also to open in the center of Warsaw. It is currently in the designing phase. The facility will be larger than the hotel currently under construction at Widok Street, which will have 149 rooms and will be launched in the first quarter of 2019.
