Walter Herz to commercialize Ratuszowa 6

12 March 2018

The inspiration for the design of the Ratuszowa 6 complex, which will be opened in Warsaw's old Praga district, are such places as Chelsea Market Industry City in New York, Time Out Market in Lisbon and St. Lawrence Market in Toronto. The construction of this unique culinary concept is to begin soon, it is to be commissioned at the turn of 2019 and 2020.

The modern cultural and gastronomic center will be located in a four-storey building on an area of 2.6 thousand sq m, situated on a plot of about 4.4 thousand sq m at Ratuszowa Street in Warsaw. It will be one of the most interesting points on the culinary map of the city. The design of the building is based on the solutions similar to those used in Hala Koszyki, or currently implemented EC Powiśle. In addition to the gastronomic function, the complex is also to promote Polish modern art.

A modern design blended into the atmosphere of Praga

The initiator of the project established cooperation with young artists who will take part in decorating and finishing the facility. The walls of the building are to be decorated with murals, and the green roofs will refer in their form to the surrounding Praski Park and the nearby Zoo.

- The outstanding architecture of the complex, which constitutes an interesting reference to the atmosphere of the old Praga, is undoubtedly one of the main factors that will allow Ratuszowa 6 to attract a lot of tourists and residents of the city. The construction of the facility will include, among others, the original bricks from the existing buildings, structural elements of the historical buildings, including steel, industrial frames, stairs, an old elevator, as well as details from the industrial plants of Praga. Thanks to the unique arrangement and varied gastronomic offer - R6 will be visited by many guests - says Hubert Biarda, Senior Negotiator at Walter Herz, who is responsible for the commercialization of the complex.

- We are pleased that as a leading agent of commercialization of this unusual project, we will contribute to the initiation of the culinary concept, which will certainly be one of the most interesting places to visit in Warsaw - adds Hubert Biarda.

Sophisticated cuisine and art of young creators

Ratuszowa 6 will provide a rich and diverse gastronomic offer. The complex will accommodate numerous restaurants and cafes, as well as stands with organic food and sophisticated culinary specialties from all over the world.

According to Dr Marcin Marcinkiewicz, who is representing the investor, the center will be a very lively and active place, with numerous culinary and cultural events. - The complex will host various events, exhibitions and openings. Visitors to Ratuszowa 6 will be able to take part in lectures, trainings and workshops related to the subject of culinary art and healthy eating as, well as widely understood culture, art and design. Moreover, the intention of the originator is to actively promote young Polish art - explains Dr Marcin Marcinkiewicz.
