In the Imperial Shipyard in Gdańsk, after the historic Directorate building is put into use, work on the revitalization and development of the remaining post-shipyard buildings is not slowing down. The renovation works of the historic building of the former fire station have started. Dating from 1884, the building is one of the first buildings to be erected on the premises of the industrial plant under construction at that time. It is the only building of this type in this area, which, after renovation, will be one of the greatest attractions of the Gdańsk Young City. The fire station is located on one of the most important walking routes in the revitalized area, leading from Plac Solidarności to the waterside halls of the Imperial Shipyard and new boulevards on the Martwa Wisła, where offices, exhibition and cultural spaces, hotels and lofts are to be built.
