A colorful lookbook as a part of Walter Herz’s employer branding

12 October 2018
One can notice from the cover of the lookbook itself, that the rigid rules of the dress code do not apply in this company. At Walter Herz, everyone chooses their look according to their own taste, and only the elegant character of clothes resembles standard business apparel. The company's office certainly cannot be considered standard and boring. It shows that this is a place with great atmosphere, where everyone treats each other as partners. Where freedom to choose an outfit is a principle, which despite the fact that it is not conventionalized and colorless, still suits the business canon. Lookbook contains photos of the team during everyday work. It includes interesting and colorful looks, combining fashion with freedom and business chic.

- Well-chosen outfit for work builds a professional image and a consistent vision of the company. Business look must be appropriate to the circumstances when we want to show respect to others, but self respect is also important. Our team includes diverse personalities. Everybody expresses themselves in a different way and each one of them is unique in their own way. We want to be an innovative trendsetting company, that does not look at others and compare. We have always been and always will be ourselves. It is visible in our new lookbook, where we present ourselves as a team. Personal preferences of the entire crew are expressed in everyday looks. It is space for us to be ourselves, but it is not the only field that leaves a margin for individuality in the company, that's why we feel good with each other - explains Bartłomiej Zagrodnik, Partner at Walter Herz.

This approach of the company to the standard regarding the outfit can be valuable for many people, especially the youngest generation and have a real influence on their decision regarding the choice of a new place of employment. In addition to the amount of remuneration and development prospects, young people nowadays also pay attention to various aspects that affect the comfort of work.  Not only the location, the arrangement of the office, or the work system is important for them, but also the organization's culture and standards that apply there. Therefore, an informal dress code in the ongoing fight for the best employees, may be a more important image element of the company than it may seem.

Bartłomiej Zagrodnik admits that young employees expect comfort at work, similar to the one they experience after hours. - This translates into both their requirements in terms of space for work, access to modern equipment, location and office environment, as well as the outfit in which they will have to work. More and more often, they are looking for a company that, apart from good employment conditions, will guarantee their freedom in terms of clothing. One that would allow showing an individual style. They choose employers who do not require a uniform, which feels like a costume, but a more business-like variant of clothes worn every day - explains the CEO of Walter Herz.

The employer branding campaign that the company has just initiated covers a wide range of activities. As part of the image-building strategy, the new Walter Herz lookbook was submitted to, among others, Siła przyciągania 2018 – competition, organized by the editors of Puls Biznesu, in the category of employer branding campaigns for the best initiative ‘out of the box’.

Employer branding activities are primarily showing the company from within and the family atmosphere prevailing in it. A videoblog run systematically with the participation of employees, talking about current events in the company will also soon become the element of Walter Herz image. Streams from the office will provide candidates with information about the values that the company follows and the way in which it builds relationships with employees. The message will allow future members of the team to determine whether they can fit in, which will help speed up the recruitment process.
