The symbol of Warsaw returns to the city map. The PKO rotunda underwent a spectacular metamorphosis and returns to its place at the Dmowski roundabout

13 January 2020

It comprises 3,000 square meters of space across three floors and features a new steel structure weighing over 500 tons. A bank branch is located on levels 0 and -1. Level +1 will offer a public Meeting Zone with a café, a space for relaxation, work, and cultural events. The building's architectural design harkens back to Jerzy Jakubowicz's original design, completed in 1966. The transparency of the glass façade has been restored, and the shape of the building's distinctive, serrated roof has been preserved. However, the prominent metal structural elements have been removed. The area in front of the Rotunda has also been revitalized. An outdoor patio, in the form of an amphitheater, has been added, featuring living plant facades with their own rainwater irrigation system.
